  • Winners of all local Good, Clean Fun competitions will all be up for consideration to compete in one of two championships, on the East and West Coasts. The top 10 times for each coast will be selected to compete for the grand prize!

Competitor FAQ

  • By signing up ahead of time, you will receive information and reminders about your competition from the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. Please note that while signing up ahead of time is beneficial, all competitors are required to show up on time on the day of the event to secure their spot to compete.

  • Yes, as long as there is open availability, you will be able to sign up the day of as well as during the event.

  • After signing up, you will be contacted by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation with additional information on your venue and time to attend. Please make sure to show up on time: competitors will take the stage to compete in their order of their arrival to the venue, and we will host as many competitors as time will allow.

  • In order to sign up for Good, Clean Fun, you must: 

    • Be a legal resident of the United States of America

    • Be at least 25 years old upon your date of entry

    • Be working at a restaurant/bar for at least 20 hours a week

    • Have not placed in the top 4 of a previous Good, Clean Fun Championship event

    • Have a valid passport through December, 2025

    Full-time or part-time employees of TOTCF, Pernod Ricard U.S.A., Absolut, Kahlúa, OFFSITE, or a distributor at the time of entry, as well as their immediate family (spouse, parents, children) and household members, will not be eligible to participate in Good, Clean Fun.

  • Each competitor will be provided with the following:

    • (1) Good, Clean Fun white gridded towel

    • (2) 28/18 oz. shaker tin sets

    • (2) Hawthorne strainers

    • (2) 2/1 oz. jiggers

    • (4) 5.5–7 oz. coupes

    • (2) 1L bottles of Absolut




    • (1) 1L bottle of Kahlúa

    • (1) 750 mL cheater bottle of espresso

    • (4–8) Speed pourers

    • (1) Container of coffee beans

    • (1) Pair of tongs/spoon, for coffee beans

  • Each Good, Clean Fun competition will have 1–2 judges selected by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. They will be in charge of keeping time, assessing penalties according to the criteria provided, and totaling times.

  • No. All competitors will be required to make the same Dry Espresso Martini recipe, and will be judged only on speed, cleanliness, and taste. Click here to find the rules and regulations.
